A Clearer Website Design for Specialist Educators

Website Design for Specialist Educators

Established in 1829, Doncaster School for the Deaf is one of the oldest Deaf schools in the country, providing specialist education for pupils aged 4 to 19. With such a significant history and a diverse audience, including Deaf parents, prospective families, professionals, Ofsted and fundraisers.

UI and UX Design
User Interaction and User Experience

The school required a website that reflected both its heritage and its modern educational approach. The existing platform made information difficult to locate, creating barriers for users seeking clarity and support.

We developed a streamlined, accessible structure designed to prioritise intuitive navigation and clear user journeys. Key sections were reorganised to ensure parents, students and professionals could quickly find relevant information, while the overall visual direction balanced professionalism with warmth.

The new platform also supports wider organisational objectives, including pupil recruitment, profile-raising and donation generation. Integrated payment functionality and CRM connectivity allow supporters to engage easily, while video and animation content help communicate the school’s environment and values more effectively.

The result is a modern, inclusive digital presence that honours nearly two centuries of specialist education while supporting the needs of today’s community.

A website designed to improve access in every sense.
