Four Ways to Win the Business You Are Missing Out On

So, maybe your business is performing in some areas. You are winning contracts and sales for either one product or service, but the other areas of your business are struggling. The thought will have probably crossed your mind, ‘am I trying to push something that people don’t want’, or ‘should I just give up and focus on what’s selling?’

Well, there are a few techniques and tricks you can do to get the underperforming side of your business booming.

THOUGHT PROVOKING CONTENT

Thought provoking content is an effective way for ecommerce sites to provide value and excitement to prospective customers.

By offering a short product/ service related quiz or a FREE downloadable and relevant PDF, customers can do their research and find out why your product or service could be something of interest to them.

BE CONSISTENT!

If you do nothing else, be consistent with your messaging and the amount of times you post. Prospective customers want to be able to trust your brand and know that you can deliver. Being consistent can be affected by so many variables for example time, money, and resources.

So, make sure you are clear where your time and effort should be spent and get consistent with your actions and activity.

COMMUNICATE YOUR STORY

I’m sure there are thousands of products and services in the market the same as yours. One thing that makes you stand out is your story and your brand – whether that’s the story behind a product or your whole company, it doesn’t matter.

Every element of your offering (story, fonts, colours, styles) contributes to how prospective customers perceive your business. The goal has to be to create a personality for your business and brand that exceeds that of all your closest competitors so prospective customers purchase your products/ services over theirs.

In my opinion, the best way to communicate your story is through an effective ‘About Us’ page on your website. Take ours for example, we are a creative agency and for that reason we show a fun, edgy and personable side to our business by getting our staff to answer funny questions about their life experiences.

INCLUDE SOCIAL LINKS

You must include social icons on your product and services pages. This gives the chance for current customers to shout about and say nice things about what your offer. The more reviews and nice things said, the better the chance of getting a sale.

It’s as simple as that.
