Moirae Shortlisted for seven Digital Marketing Awards

We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for seven prestigious awards at this year’s Digital Impact Awards 2017, for work with the world-renowned British Steel, Open Door Auctions, Business Doncaster, LED Aesthetics and one of the leading teaching training school alliances: Partners in Learning.

The Digital Impact Awards 2017, which takes place at ‘The Brewery’ positioned in the centre of London, is often referred to as the UK’s largest celebration of digital work in corporate communications. The awards recognise excellence and reward brand, design and digital innovation from organisations across the globe. After being shortlisted in seven categories, we can’t wait to go head-to-head with the world’s most famous brands.

The work we produced for British Steel has been shortlisted in the following three categories:

  • ‘Best Intranet’
  • 'Best Use of Digital in the Industrial/Basic Materials Sector’
  • ‘Best Digital Transformation (Website Rebrand)’

The remaining nominations are for the work we have created for Open Door Auctions, Business Doncaster, LED Aesthetics and Partners in Learning:

  • ‘Best Evaluation Strategy’ – LED Aesthetics
  • ‘Best Use of Digital in the Property Sector’ – Open Door Auctions
  • ‘Best Use of Digital in the Education Sector’ – Partners in Learning
  • ‘Best Use of Digital in the Public Sector’ – www.WeAreDoncaster.co.uk

The work we created for British Steel has been shortlisted for the most innovative website transformation, the development of a brand new and professional corporate intranet and, finally, all-round excellence for the work in the industrial sector.

Liz Brown, Communications Specialist – Brand and Digital Media at British Steel, said:

“Launching our new digital platforms was challenging – we had tight timescales as well as a new brand to implement. It was vital that Moirae, our chosen agency, worked closely with us to meet these timescales and deliver the effective, polished solutions we were looking for. This was important as our website and intranet were potentially the first interaction our stakeholders would have with our new brand. You only have one go at creating a first impression, so getting it right was essential for employee engagement and customer support – and I’m delighted to say it went really well!”

For Business Doncaster, we have created the website ‘wearedoncaster.co.uk’ which has been shortlisted for demonstrating all round excellence of a digital presence online in the public sector.

Lorna Reeve, Destination Manager, Doncaster Council, added “As a public-sector organisation promoting Doncaster as an exceptional place to work, live and do business, we needed a strong digital presence to increase our exposure on a local and national level. With the continued investment, world class transport links and a thriving business community, we now have an online platform and more importantly the confidence to really showcase Doncaster as a destination.”.

Open Door Auctions, the UK’s first property auction franchise, has been nominated in ‘Best Use of Digital in Property Sector’ for their strategy and presence online.

James Naish, a Director at Open Door Auctions, stated “The design, look and feel of the website has been completely refreshed, and we now have an easy-to-use online auction facility which enables us to sell properties across the UK. It is important that traditional industries adapt to changing consumer habits, and Moirae has helped us to do this”.

By showing evidence of a strong digital presence, which stands out from its sector peers, the online platform which we developed for Partners in Learning has been nominated for a Digital Impact Award.

Sara Harle, Director of Business & Operations, Partners in Learning, added “Our brand new, easy to navigate website has been totally reinvented and feedback shows our members couldn’t be happier. With a refreshed functionality, we are finding it much easier to communicate to all stakeholders. Moirae have effectively taken our strong brand and given us a unique identity online”.

Our very own MD, David, has also had plenty to say, “The team and I are overwhelmed to be shortlisted for seven awards at this year’s Digital Impact Award. The team have fully committed themselves to each project and have worked tirelessly all year round to ensure our clients receive the best possible service”.

Connell Gribben, Virgin Media’s head of corporate content – digital and one of this year’s esteemed judging panel said: “I thoroughly enjoyed judging this year’s Digital Impact Awards. Lots of creative entries across a range of sectors – all of which were a pleasure to read. I was particularly impressed with those digital campaigns and projects that had a big impact despite having a relatively small budget. Proof that you don’t always need a blank cheque to dream up a creative concept and execute it well. I’ve no doubt the shortlist will inspire digital communications professionals everywhere.”

The Digital Impact Awards will be held on Tuesday 17 October, at The Brewery in Moorgate, Central London. Previous winners at the awards include Unilever, GoCompare.com, Barclays and Vodafone.

The news comes following a record-breaking year for the team here at Moirae after we picked up seven awards at the Transform Europe Awards in March 2017 including the internationally-recognised ‘Grand Prix’.
